Live Jazz in Tokyo: Schedule and Venues for My Upcoming Performances

Hello everyone!
This is our monthly post bringing you jazz live performance updates for the upcoming month — published on the 15th of each month.

In April, the beauty of the cherry blossoms filled the city, and our jazz performances captured the excitement and wonder of spring.

Now, looking ahead — I’m excited to share that more live shows are scheduled at jazz clubs in May as well!

Friday, May 16th at JAZZ BAR FILL IN in Shinjuku, Tokyo

A vocal jazz special live show will be held next month at FILL IN, a jazz bar located near Akebonobashi station on the Shinjuku Line that has been running for more than 20 years, offering three sets full of the charms of vocal jazz!

The set list as well as the atmosphere will be completely different so that even those who come every month can enjoy the show every time!

Enjoy wonderful jazz standards along with curry rice (limited to 4 servings per day) and Mom’s delicious cocktails.

This is a regular article published on the 15th of every month, bringing you information on next month’s jazz concerts.

After Christmas, New Year’s, Valentine’s Day, and other extraordinary events have settled down, this month, we can spend more days in the usual atmosphere.
In our live performances, we play many jazz standards that remind us of the coming of spring and the season.

We are expecting many people to attend our birthday concert scheduled for tomorrow, and we feel that more and more people are listening to our music every year.

Here we have another live concert scheduled at jazz clubs in April!

Wednesday, April 9th at JAZZ BAR FILL IN

Saturday, April 26th at Jesse James Tachikawa

Live performance with an organ trio at Jesse James, a long-established jazz club in Tachikawa, which I have been a part of since last year!

Mr. Takayuki Fukunaga, who is also active as a drummer and pianist and produces original compositions, will be playing the organ.
Keisuke Yaha, who has been featured in professional magazines as an up-and-coming young professional jazz guitarist, will play guitar.
Drums by Yozo Ohe, who is also a producer and leader of numerous bands.

We will perform jazz standard tunes, filled with the jazz spirit! Don’t miss it!!

Jazz Live Shows in Tokyo: Schedule and Venues for My Upcoming Performances

Hello everyone!
This is a regular article on the 15th of every month to inform you about next month’s jazz concerts.

A cold wave is now sweeping over Tokyo.
As I walk around the city feeling the stinging cold air on my cheeks, I sometimes think that I can now live the life I dreamed of in Okinawa just 8 years ago.

Living in a busy city, it is easy to forget to look at yourself from a larger perspective, but the moment I come into contact with the beauty and harshness of nature, I suddenly feel like a tiny being, and my shoulders relax.

Next month will be my birthday, and I am planning to hold my first-ever birthday concert, so it is going to be an exciting March!

Wednesday, March 12th, 2025, at JAZZ BAR FILL IN

A special live concert will be held again next month, featuring three sets full of the charm of vocal jazz!
At FILL IN, a jazz bar close to Akebonobashi station on the Shinjuku Line that has been in business for over 20 years!

Enjoy wonderful jazz standards along with curry rice, limited to four servings a day, and delicious cocktails and liquor.

Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Live Unten 45

For the first time, my birthday concert will be held!

On Sunday evening at Live Unten 45 in Yotsuya, I will be joined by many of the musicians and supporters of jazz, as well as many of our musical friends who are usually involved in my jazz live performances.
I’m looking forward to seeing you there, whether it’s your first time or your first time in a while!

We will be performing some of the standards that I used to sing when I first started jazz vocals (just 3 years ago), as well as some vocalese tunes that I have recently started to take seriously, with the cool sound of organ, guitar, and drums.
