About Aigetsu

  Aigetsu is a jazz singer from Ishigaki Island, Okinawa, Japan, known for passionately mastering a wide range of styles, from swing and bossa nova to blues and Latin jazz.

  She is known for her exceptional sense of rhythm, cultivated through Okinawan folk songs and African-American music, and her powerful singing voice.

  She is also known for her jazz singing technique called Vocalise which is a kind of scat with lyrics.

  In Okinawa, she played vocal, drums, and guitar in a rock band, and after moving to Tokyo, she also sang in a funk band.

  Since June 2022, she has been performing at jazz clubs as a vocalist in Tokyo, Japan.
