Live Jazz in Tokyo: Schedule and Venues for My Upcoming Performances

Hello, everyone!

This is my regular article delivering information about next month’s jazz live performances on the 15th of every month.

It’s July in Tokyo, and the weather has suddenly become unbearably hot. When I go for a walk and see sudden rain showers and summery clouds, I feel that summer is in full swing.
Recently, I sang “Blue Skies” at my live performances while imagining that scenery.

Well, there are some fun jazz live performances coming up in August that make the most of the season!

Sunday, Aug 10th, 2025 at JESSE JAMES Tachikawa

Our first duo live performance, on June 29th, was a blast!

Although it was our first time performing as a duo and our first time performing bossa nova and pop songs, we were blessed with a warm audience and enjoyed playing throughout the performance.

The second bossa nova and pop duo live performance has been scheduled for Sunday, August 10th, at the same venue!

Summer is in full swing, so you may be in the mood to listen to bossa nova.
Enjoy authentic bossa nova live performances while sipping delicious cocktails or juices! Please come and join us at the live event.

The venue, Jesse James Tachikawa Store, is located north of Tachikawa Station, across from Don Quijote, making it easily accessible on foot. You can enjoy drinks there with peace of mind.

Although it is located underground, there is an elevator, so wheelchair users can also enter the store safely.

Wednesday, Aug 27th, 2025 at JAZZ BAR FILL IN

Next month, FILL IN, a jazz bar located just a short walk from Akebonobashi Station on the Shinjuku Line, which has been in business for over 20 years, will once again host a special live performance featuring three sets of vocal jazz!

As next month is the end of August, we plan to perform songs with the theme of “the end of summer.”

We will look back on the end of summer through music from various perspectives, such as “fun summer memories,” “melancholic summer sunsets,” and “the transition to autumn.”

This jazz bar, FILL IN, is rare among small jazz bars in that it has a drum set, allowing you to enjoy powerful performances up close.

Enjoy the live performance in this hidden gem of a jazz bar, complete with delicious food, snacks, and drinks, all in a fantastic atmosphere.

We will deliver a full three-set performance of jazz standards and bossa nova standards.
